Project Studio

Our work is not necessarily seen but always experienced by customers.

Some of our projects are described below. Feel free to visit the places to experience the results yourself. When savings can be made on energy, more resources can be reallocated to other parts of the business.

It is a green-win situation for everybody.

The history of The George Hotel dates back to 1597 when horse drawn coaches stopped outside on their way to London. These days are long gone, but one thing that the hotel was struggling to move on from was hot water pressure and excessive energy consumption issues.

Today, the building is undergoing a pilot scheme of green improvements, including low-temperature Thermate radiators, low-temperature central heating and hot water systems with a heat pump.

There are many fascinating facts about The George. One of them surely is the installation of a voltage optimiser and astonishing energy savings that it made. To put it plainly, compared to the energy bills from before the installation, the hotel’s bar and three newly annexed bedrooms are now operating free of charge.

The Belmont Hotel is an 1850s sea facing Victorian ear building. Like many of its kind, it was riddled with central heating issues with certain bedrooms overheating and some being unable to reach a comfortable temperature. The current energy crisis only added to the owner’s worries.

The solution came with our low-temperature Thermate radiators, which immediately reduced the amount of water in the system by 70%. Multizone smart heating controllers helped to distribute the heat evenly across the whole building and brought additional 20% savings on central heating bills.

Yet more savings came with the installation of a voltage optimiser, which momentarily dropped the building’s electricity consumption by about 15 % and has been extending the lifespan of the building’s electrical equipment, such as lighting, kitchen appliances, etc., ever since.

In spring 2023, we will be back installing photovoltaic and thermodynamic panels for green electricity and heat production respectively, as the client is aiming at Net Zero.

Aqualogik are delighted to have entered into an exclusive contract with a hotel group for the supply and installation of voltage-reducing equipment across all of their hotels in the UK.

On completion of every installation, each hotel will benefit from immediate savings on electricity bills and much improved lifespan of their electrical equipment, including lighting, kitchen appliances, etc. All of this, with no messy and inconvenient refurbishment work. Clean job for clear savings.

We have completed a much anticipated project in Llandudno Bay Hotel. The brief was simple – to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption of this 1800 sqm hotel, which historically suffered constant water pressure issues and exorbitant energy bills.

In order to achieve our client’s goal, we have installed low-temperature hot water and central heating systems with Thermate radiators. By doing just that we managed to reduced the amount of water needed to heat the building by 70%. Also, the hotel benefits now from multizone smart temperature controllers, which reduced the heat distribution costs by a further 20%. Finally, through improvement to the electricity distribution, the hotel has been making further savings of 15% from day one.

The improvements we have introduced and financial savings they brough to the hotel attracted the attention of the local press and businesses. As a result, we will be presenting our green technology solutions and insight into energy reduction at a highly coveted Energy Saving Efficiencies and EV Charging event in Wales on 21 April 2023.

In summer 2023 we will be returning to the hotel for phase 2 of green improvements. This time, the hotel will be getting equipped with photovoltaic panels that will harvest the Welsh sunshine to power the hotel’s EV charging points.
